We require a £250 non-refundable booking fee to confirm a dedicated week or £100 to confirm a training date for the one jump course. If the date you request has become full we will email you with alternates and refund you if you cannot make other dates. This date is not confirmed until you receive a Confirmation of Booking email from us. A minimum of eighteen jumps is required to gain your ‘A’ licence (see progression information below for further details). After a minimum of eight jumps you will be skydiving by yourself. During subsequent jumps, and as your skills develop, this will reduce to one instructor. You will make your first jump from 12,000 feet with two instructors holding you during the freefall phase, which lasts 30-40 seconds. Your physical skills will be assessed throughout the day, which ends with a written test. During the ground training you will be taught to exit the aircraft, adopt the freefall position, read your altimeter, open and steer your parachute, land safely and deal with any emergencies that arise either in the aircraft or under the parachute.
